FIFA confirms Khimki as Peru Team Base Camp for 2018 World Cup

17:49 | Zurich (Switzerland), Feb. 9.

FIFA has today confirmed the Team Base Camps (TBCs) of the 32 teams that will participate in the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia.

The TBCs will be the squads' headquarters during the sporting event. All of them will include a hotel and training site located a short distance from each other.

Peru's national team will be based at the Arena Khimki. Built in 2008, the stadium is situated on the outskirts of Moscow.

The Incas will stay at Sheraton Moscow Sheremetyevo —a five-star hotel located near the capital city's international airport.

All the qualified teams will stay and train between matches in their TBC during the competition's group stage.

The squads will travel from their TBC to the Host City of their respective match, where they will spend the night at a Venue Specific Team Hotel (VSTH) and are allowed to train in a Venue-Specific Training Site (VSTS).

FIFA explained all teams should stay in the VSTH the nights before and after the match in question.

The sides that advance to the next rounds are given the option to remain using their TBCs or move from one city to another.

According to the soccer's governing body, each team should only use their official training sites for training sessions or preparation matches as from five days before the respective team's first match —with the exception of official training sessions in a stadium.
