Consulate in Dallas highlights Peruvians' contribution to Texas economy

As part of the work carried out by the Consulate General of Peru in Dallas to support fellow nationals residing in the United States, the consular mission's head, Liliana Trelles, met with Texas Governor Gregg Abbott.

During the meeting, the diplomat informed the dignitary that the Peruvian community in the northern part of the state currently consists of 20,000 people who contribute to the U.S. economy through their work.

The consul stated that these are families made up of professionals and technicians who have been working in the United States for years and contribute to the prosperity of Texas.

Lastly, the Peruvian Consul invited Governor Abbott to take part in the upcoming launch of the celebration marking 200 years of diplomatic relations between Peru and the United States.
