Peru and Colombia's soccer teams will face each other on Tuesday, October 10, to secure a spot in 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia.
The Peruvian team is one step away from returning to a World Cup since its participation in Spain '82.
For its part, Colombia seeks to qualify and deliver a greater performance than in 2014 World Cup held in Brazil.
Peru
ranks fifth in the South America's table with 25 points and goes through its best moment after 5 straight matches without a loss.
The red-white needs to get one last victory in order not to depend on other matches' results.
Within this context, Peru's coach Ricardo Gareca affirmed that even though it will be a hard game, the Peruvian squad will rely on itself to qualify for the World Cup.
"We are playing a team that suffered a loss and is now desperate for a win to qualify. Anything could happen on Tuesday," he asserted.
The clash will be led by Brazilian referee Sandro Ricci, which will be assisted by Marcelo Van Gasse and Wagner Magalhaes (both from Peru).
The Incas' final match will be held at Lima's National Stadium on October 10. (6:30 PM – local time).
Possible lineups:
Peru: Pedro Gallese - Aldo Corzo, Alberto Rodriguez, Christian Ramos, Miguel Trauco - Yoshimar Yotun, Renato Tapia, Christian Cueva - Andre Carrillo, Edison Flores and Paolo Guerrero. Coach: Ricardo Gareca.
Colombia: David Ospina - Frank Fabra, Davinson Sanchez, Oscar Murillo, Santiago Arias - Abel Aguilar, Carlos Sanchez, James Rodriguez - Edwin Cardona, Juan Guillermo Cuadrado - Radamel Falcao. Coach: Jose Pekerman
