16:00 | Paracas (Ica region), Nov. 29.

Featuring the traditional ribbon cutting ceremony, the 55th edition of the Annual Conference of Executives (CADE-Executives 2017) kicked off in Paracas on Wednesday afternoon.

The event will serve to request Peruvian stakeholders to reach political agreement by the Republic's Independence Bicentennial in 2021.

Thus, the country's most important business forum runs this year under the slogan "A single Peru, no more separate strings."

Drago Kisic, Chairman of the CADE 2017 Executive Committee, affirmed this motto aims at requesting the nation to take advantage of the great opportunities and challenges it will face in the coming years, for which the economy and politics should develop on the same level.

Likewise, he stressed the need for all Peruvians to be united in order to fight for the nation's development by the Bicentennial (July 28, 2021).

Viable solutions

According to the organizers, this important meeting will bring together over 1,000 business leaders, specialists, authorities and opinion leaders, who will analyze and present viable solutions for the national agenda's priority issues.

CADE 2017

The 2017 Annual Executive Conference takes place —for fifth consecutive year— in Paracas, a beach resort in the province of Pisco in Ica region, located 260 kilometers south of Lima.

Paracas —whose hotels are fully booked on this occasion— has also hosted previous editions in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016.

Organized since 1961, CADE-Executives is the main business forum, which brings together the nation's leaders and places priority issues on the national agenda to turn Peru into a developed country.
