An Argentinean Air Force C-130 Hercules plane, carrying humanitarian aid for Peruvians recently hit by natural disasters, landed at Lima's Air Group Nº 8 on Tuesday night.
A team composed of 6 "White Helmet" experts —from said neighboring country— also arrived in the nation's capital on the occasion. They will provide technical assistance on water treatment to Peru.
The crew was welcomed by Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Ricardo Luna and Argentinean chargé d'affaires based in Lima Francisco Ferro.
It was announced the aircraft will be at the service of both, the foreign technicians and Peruvian officials in charge of transporting citizens through the airlift mechanism.
Thus, Argentina becomes the fifth South American nation to support relief efforts aimed at tackling heavy rain and flood emergencies, following the steps of Ecuador, Colombia, Chile and Brazil.
