The
Peru Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai reached a major milestone by welcoming its one-millionth visitor.
This achievement reflects international audiences' interest in the South American country's cultural, historical, and gastronomic richness.
The one-millionth visitor was Japanese citizen Noriko Norimura, who received a symbolic recognition.
Likewise, she took part in a cultural and gastronomic experience at the pavilion, accompanied by the team representing Peru at this world expo, open to the public since April.
"I came to the Expo because I wanted to see the Peru Pavilion, especially to learn about alpacas and Machu Picchu. I arrived at noon, and it was the first pavilion I visited. I queued up, but I never imagined I would be the one-millionth visitor. I was extremely surprised," said Noriko Norimura.

During her visit, she toured the Peru Pavilion, where she was welcomed with warm Peruvian hospitality and received gifts of iconic export products, such as Pisco, camu camu, cacao, a baby alpaca pashmina, a purse with Peruvian motifs, and exclusive promotional items from the pavilion.
The visitor had the opportunity to leave her signature in the guest book.
As part of the celebration, Norimura sampled the dishes offered this month at the pavilion, including quinoa pilaf, Solterito, and corn with uchucuta.
She also enjoyed Anticuchos, Cau Cau, Lomo Saltado, and Alfajores at the Peruvian food truck located in the gastronomic area.
With this milestone, the Peru Pavilion has achieved its goal of one million visitors, set as part of its strategy for Expo 2025.
Until October 13, it will continue offering a varied schedule of activities aimed at showcasing Peru's cultural heritage, biodiversity, and tourism potential, positioning the country as an attractive, sustainable, and competitive destination in the eyes of the world.
