Peruvian and Chinese Presidents highlight Joint Action Plan signing

The Presidents of Peru, Dina Boluarte, and of China, Xi Jinping, on Friday highlighted the signing of the bilateral Joint Action Plan.

During the meeting held in Beijing, both leaders welcomed the completion of negotiations aimed at optimizing the bilateral Free Trade Agreement.


During the meeting, Mrs. Boluarte stressed the importance of the economic link between both countries.

In this regard, she underscored that China is Peru's top trading partner and an important source of investments.

"This State Visit is an invaluable opportunity to strengthen the increasingly important friendship between our countries, embodied in our Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, as well as the substantial and growing economic and cultural exchanges that enrich it," Mrs. Boluarte stated.


Other meetings

During this State Visit, Peru's official delegation also held a meeting with National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee Chairman Zhao Leji and with Chinese Premier Li Qiang.


With both of them, the group had the opportunity to talk about the excellent Peru-China relations, as well as the need to strengthen commercial and friendship ties.


In previous days, the Peruvian Head of State visited the cities of Shenzhen and Shanghai.
