President Martin Vizcarra on Friday proposed Peruvian Congress and citizens to enter a social pact with the purpose of fighting corruption, as well as boosting the equitable, democratic, and comprehensive development of the Inca country.
According to the newly-sworn-in President, Peru is a country with a great future ahead. Yet, he noted that moving forward will depend on all Peruvians.
"We have the responsibility to
turn the page. This is a historic moment in which we put Peru first, overcome conflicts, and build the country we deserve," he stated.
Vizcarra went on to say he is willing to comply with the Constitution and expressed confidence that his administration will be open to dialogue.
