The Peruvian Government expressed its deepest sorrow over the violent acts occurred along the Israel-Gaza border last week, causing the loss of human lives and a large number of injured.
"Peru calls on the two parties to resume the direct negotiation process aimed at reaching a peaceful solution to all existing controversies," reads the Foreign Affairs Ministry's statement.
In this regard, the Andean country expressed hope that a solution will be achieved, allowing a peaceful coexistence between Israel and Palestine, with secure, respected, and violence-free borders.
