Peru appoints Ambassador to Switzerland

The Peruvian Government appointed Julio Hernan Garro Galvez as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Swiss Confederation.

This measure was made official through Supreme Resolution No. 051-2025-RE, published in the Legal Regulations Bulletin of the Official Gazette El Peruano on Friday.

Therefore, the corresponding credentials and full powers are granted to Diplomatic Service Ambassador, Julio Hernan Garro Galvez.

The document stipulates that the date on which the aforementioned diplomat is to take up duties will be set by ministerial resolution.

It also specifies that the expenses incurred by this resolution will be charged to the corresponding allocations in the Foreign Affairs Ministry's budget.

The preamble states that this appointment is in accordance with the law regulating the Executive Branch's participation in the appointment and designation of public officials, as well as the Law on the Diplomatic Service of the Republic and its regulations.

Likewise, it has the approving vote of the Council of Ministers.

The resolution bears the signatures of President Dina Boluarte and Foreign Affairs Minister Elmer Schialer.
