Peru's President Boluarte begins activities in China

The President of the Republic of Peru, Dina Boluarte, on Tuesday began her activities in the People's Republic of China, as part of the State visit she is making to the Asian country at the invitation of her counterpart, Xi Jinping.

The Peruvian Head of State arrived in the city of Shenzhen from Hong Kong, joined by the official delegation, the Presidential Office reported via X (formerly Twitter).

There, Mrs. Boluarte was received by a delegation of Chinese authorities, led by Ambassador Song Yang, Shenzhen Vice Mayor Luo Huanghao, and the Foreign Affairs Ministry's Latin American and Caribbean Affairs Department Director General Cai Wei.

Peru's top official will pay a State visit to the People's Republic of China from June 26 to 28, which includes political and business meetings.

President Boluarte is accompanied by a delegation of five ministers of State, who are part of the official entourage.
