Peru currently participates in the first edition of "London Food Month" (LFM), London Evening Standard newspaper's new month-long celebration of the British capital's culinary diversity, the Foreign Affairs Ministry reported.
As an
LFM partner, the Inca country will showcase its award-winning world-famous cuisine through some of its most renowned restaurants in London: Lima Floral, Pisqu, Señor Ceviche, Andina, Casita Andina, Ceviche Soho and Ceviche Old Street.
One of the festival's most-awaited activities is its bustling outdoor Night Market, described by the Evening Standard as "the centrepiece of London Food Mouth."
From June 7 to 18, London’s Perks Field will gather 50 of the city's top restaurants, including Peru's Pisqu with the best of its best gastronomic offer.
This way, the event will offer a platform to promote Peru's culture and rich gastronomy.
More Peruvian food in London
On the other hand, Peruvian Chefs' Choice Award winner
Virgilio Martinez and Jeremy Pang, the mastermind behind London Chinese restaurant Cha Chaan Teng, have joined efforts to create a "Chifa" (Peruvian Cantonese food) inspired menu.
The dishes will be offered in both restaurants this month to celebrate the traditional fusion.
Also in
June, Peruvian chef Martin Morales' "Ceviche's Peru Bus Tour" will offer Londoners a taste of his homeland's multiple flavors, featuring dishes from coastal, highland and jungle regions.
