Peru opens NASDAQ Stock Exchange in NY

Peru's Economy-Finance Minister Alfredo Thorne on Wednesday morning opened the trading schedule of the National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotation (NASDAQ) as part of inPeru's 12th Road Show closing activities.

New York based NASDAQ Stock Exchange is the largest U.S. electronic market. It offers capital-raising solutions to approximately 3,800 listed companies around the world.
 
Peru's Central Reserve Bank (BCR) Governor Julio Velarde, inPeru President Francis Stenning and Deputy Mines Minister Ricardo Labo joined the government official.
 
inPeru's 3-day Toronto-New York Road Show thus drew to a close following several presentations and meetings to promote the Inca country's investment and business development opportunities. 

inPeru

inPeru is a Peruvian nonprofit association supported by the Peruvian government and founded by the main business organizations of the national market. 

The association seeks to promote investment opportunities in the country and contribute to the development of Peruvian capital and financial markets. 

Government bodies endorsing inPeru include the Ministries of Economy and Finance, Foreign Affairs, as well as Foreign Trade and Tourism.

Central Reserve Bank (BCR), Superintendence of Banking, Insurance and Private Pension Funds Administrators, Superintendence of Securities Market and the Private Investment Promotion Agency (ProInversion) also support the association.
