Pisco sour, Peruvian cocktail for APEC and the world

One of the most delicious beverages APEC Summit participants can enjoy while in Lima is pisco sour, Peru’s national cocktail containing pisco, our flagship drink.

There are many claims about the spirit’s origin; in fact, a strong controversy has emerged about how its preparation has changed over the years, but in spite of this regular consumption is observed at every public and private celebration across the country, due to its softness. 

Preparation

Combine pisco, lime juice, syrup, white sugar, egg white, ice and Angostura bitters in a cocktail shaker and then serve it in a glass.


This cocktail is a popular dinner appetizer and is ideal for a special toast as well.
