Peru's national soccer team climbed up seven spots in the latest FIFA Coca-Cola world rankings released on Thursday, after beating Panama 3-0 in a friendly match last week, it was reported.
The Peruvian team climbed from 59 to 52 in July with 522 points, surpassing Norway and 2014 World Cup participant Cameroon.
World Cup winners, Germany remain at the top of the world ranking table, with Argentina and Netherlands occupying second and third place, respectively. Colombia also maintain their fourth place position in the world.
Meanwhile, Spain have moved up one place and are now tied at seventh with Brazil.
The current ranking places Peru seventh in the region, ahead of Bolivia (71) and behind of Colombia (4)
The next FIFA ranking update will be released on September 18.
