Peruvian professional soccer player at France's AS Saint-Étienne Miguel Trauco tested positive for the new coronavirus.

Via social media, the defender indicated that he is about to complete his recovery.

"One more physical exam, and I will be ready," he posted on Twitter.

Despite having a current contract with Saint Étienne until 2022, Trauco is not in the plans of French strategist Claude Puel. Therefore, he is expected to join another team.

"The three proposals that I handle for Miguel come from Europe. We have until October 5 to solve this issue. Otherwise, he will have to continue fighting for a position at St. Etienne," said agent Jose Chacon in remarks to Barrio Futbol show.

28-year-old Trauco was announced in August 2019 as new player for the French club. Previously, he played for Union Comercio, Universitario de Deportes (Peru) and Flamengo (Brazil).
