Peru's Foreign Affairs Min tests positive for COVID-19

Foreign Affairs Minister Oscar Maurtua has tested positive for COVID-19, Peru's Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported on Monday.

According to a statement issued by the government department, Minister Maurtua's health state is stable.

It was reported that the diplomat went into isolation following medical advice and to comply with the health protocols issued by the Ministry of Health (Minsa).

Following the diagnosis, which was done through an antigen test, the government official went on to work remotely.
