Peru's Consul General to Toronto Ana Cecilia Gervasi participated in the 12th edition of the Toronto Global Forum as part of the Andean nation's economic promotion activities abroad.

Gervasi was one of the panelists at the "Latin American Bilateral Trade Initiative Breakfast with Consuls General of Latin America," organized in collaboration with the City of Toronto.

Other speakers included Consuls General Christian Rodriguez (Colombia), Silvana Montes de Oca (Uruguay), and Beatriz Romero (Ecuador).

This panel addressed the principal characteristics of Latin American communities in the Canadian city.

Other topics of discussion included the opportunities in bilateral ties —mainly in the economic and trade fields— and the possibilities offered by the Latin American Bilateral Trade Initiative (LABTI) for Latin American communities and the City of Toronto.

Moderated by Michael Thompson, Councilor and Chair at Toronto's Economic Development and Culture Committee, the event saw the attendance of more than 200 people.
