State-run institutions' disapproval rating remains high, being the Judicial Branch placed on top of the list at 84%, the latest Ipsos Peru poll revealed Tuesday.
Only 11% of those surveyed approve of the Judiciary's job, and 5% do not specify.
Next on the list is the Congress of the Republic. The survey finds 83% of Peruvians disapprove of its work, compared with 11% who approve.
In the case of the Public Prosecutor's Office, 81% of respondents are not satisfied with its performance, and only 11% express approval.
Port's White Collars
The poll also shows mixed opinions about the criminal organization known as the
Port's White Collars which, according to the Prosecutor's Office, is composed of trial lawyers, entrepreneurs, Callao Superior Court's administrative and judicial staff, as well as high-ranking officials.
In this regard, the survey reveals that 64% of citizens believe that suspended Supreme
Judge Cesar Hinostroza was part of the organization, 22% think he was involved but not a member, and only 2% say he has nothing to do with it.
On the other hand, 47% of respondents say
current Attorney General Pedro Chavarry was part of the abovementioned organization, 42% believe he is involved but not a member, and 5% estimate he has nothing to do with the gang.
