Peru's Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) and Singapore's aeronautical authorities agreed to launch air transport relations between the two countries in order to strengthen trade and tourism dynamism.
This is the first commercial aviation deal inked between both nations.
The landmark document bears the signatures of Peru's Transport Deputy Minister Carlos Estremadoyro and Singapore's Ministry of Transport International Relations and Security Division Senior Director Bernard Lim.
Estremadoyro welcomed the signing and claimed he expects passenger and cargo flights to start as soon as possible.
On the other hand, the Singaporean official stated this deal reflects the strong bilateral relations and generates opportunities for airlines from both sides.
Furthermore, the agreement promotes greater international connectivity with the Asian-Pacific region, as well as tourism and trade development.
