Peru: President Vizcarra's approval rating rises to 61%

Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra's approval rating grew to 61% in October, the latest Ipsos Peru poll revealed.

This figure implies an increase of 16 percentage points from September. The disapproval rating dropped from 44% to 28%.

According to the study, 40% of those supporting his administration do so because they believe he is working to combat corruption.

On the other hand, 33% affirm he has good ideas and projects.

Plus, 22% of those asked back his capacity for building consensus and dialogue.
 
Regarding Prime Minister Cesar Villanueva's job performance, 28% of respondents support it, which is a rise of 10 percentage points from last month.

Likewise, 16% of those surveyed support Congress Chairman Daniel Salaverry's work, a 4% increase over September's figure (12%),
