Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra's approval rating increased to 40.4%, the latest CPI survey revealed on Tuesday.
This figure implies an increase of almost 15 percentage points from July (25.8%). The disapproval rating stands at 49%, and 10.6% of respondents gave no opinion.
On the other hand, 36.8% of respondents think no achievement has been made.
According to the study, the most negative aspect has been
corruption (11.3%), followed by the lack of public safety (9.8%), the lack of leadership (8.8%), and the non-closure of Congress (6%).
Regarding the
country's economy, 46.4% of those surveyed feel it remains unchanged, 45.4% of them think it has worsened, and 7.6% believe it is improving.
As for respondents' economic situation, 62.7% said it remains the same, 27.4% claimed it has gotten worse, and 8.9% think it has improved.
Technical details
Target population: Men and women aged 18 and over from five geographical areas in which the country has been divided.
Coverage: National level (urban and rural areas): 19 regions, 47 provinces (including Lima and Callao), 122 districts (40 in Lima metropolitan area and 82 in the country's inland regions).
Data collection technique: Personal interview using a CPI survey.
