The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Tuesday met with Development Bank of Latin America (CAF) Executive-President Sergio Diaz-Granados, with whom he discussed the technical cooperation provided by CAF to Peru.

This dialogue revolved around the projects being developed in our country and the technical cooperation provided by CAF to improve the Peruvian population's quality of life.

Likewise, CAF Executive-President Diaz-Granados held a meeting with Secretary-General of the Peruvian Foreign Affairs Ministry, Ana Rosa Valdivieso. At the event, they talked about the need to promote infrastructure investment in the country.

Also, they addressed the importance of economic reactivation —within the framework of the COVID-19 pandemic— to make it comprehensive, inclusive, and sustainable.

As is known, Foreign Affairs Minister Maurtua was not present at the meeting as he recently tested positive for COVID-19. The ambassador is in the process of isolation, thus complying with medical instructions and health protocols.
