Peru: President leads new Council of Ministers session

Peruvian President Francisco Sagasti on Thursday morning led a new session of the Council of Ministers.

The meeting took place at the Lima-based Government Palace and saw the participation of Cabinet members.

After the session, the ministers headed to the Parliament headquarters, where lawmakers will continue the debate over the 2021 Public Budget.

On Wednesday, the Head of State met with Fuerza Popular (Popular Force) party leader Keiko Fujimori, within the framework of the round of dialogue with representatives of political groups.

Later, the top official held a meeting with Lima Mayor Jorge Muñoz.

Last Tuesday, the President met with leaders of parties Alliance for Progress and the Agricultural People's Front of Peru (FREPAP).
