Peru: President leads new Council of Ministers session

The President of the Republic Martin Vizcarra currently leads a new session of the Council of Ministers, joined by Prime Minister Walter Martos.

At the meeting, new measures to fight the COVID-19 pandemic and reactivate the economy are addressed.

The event takes place at the Lima-based Government Palace and sees the participation of Cabinet members.

Last Thursday, the Head of State affirmed that the war against the novel coronavirus is not over, adding it is necessary to continue fighting in order to defeat the virus and boost the economy.

He also said that serving the population is the purpose for the existence of everyone working at the Government.
