Peru: President Boluarte meets with WADA representatives

President Dina Boluarte met with representatives of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), with whom she addressed the importance of clean sport on a global scale, with special attention to initiatives in Peru and the upcoming Lima 2027 Pan American Games.

In addition, strategies were discussed at the meeting to strengthen anti-doping measures in the South American country and turn this event into a platform to promote the values of sportsmanship in society.

Education Minister Morgan Quero and Peruvian Sports Institute (IPD) Chairman Federico Tong also participated in the gathering.

The XX Pan American Games Lima 2027 will take place from July 16 to August 1, featuring more than 9,000 athletes from 41 countries competing in more than 60 disciplines.

This will be the second time that Lima hosts the international multi-sport event, the first being in 2019.
