The
President of the Republic Dina Boluarte on Monday afternoon participated in the swearing-in ceremony of Villa El Salvador Mayor Guido Iñigo Peralta.
The event took place at the Palace of Youth located in the aforementioned Lima's district.
Members of the Municipal Council of Villa El Salvador were also sworn in the ceremony.
Alianza por el Progreso (Alliance for Progress) Party candidate Guido Iñigo got 35.533% of the vote after 100% of ballots counted, while Podemos Peru (We can Peru) Party candidate Luis Mozo received 28.366%, the data showed.
On Monday, the Head of State participated in the ceremony in which Rafael Lopez Aliaga was sworn in as the new Mayor of Peruvian capital Lima for the 2023-2026 period.
The event took place at the Municipal Theater and featured top political and diplomatic authorities, as well as representatives of popular organizations, among others.
