Peru's Commission for Promotion of Export and Tourism (PromPeru) will lead a delegation of 10 Peruvian brands from the clothing and decoration industry to showcase their offerings under their own brand strategy at the prestigious Copenhagen International Fashion Fair (CIFF 2023) fair to be held on August 9-11.

For the first time, Peru, through PromPeru's Trade Office in Rotterdam, will be present at this fair with a 125-square-meter stand.

This space will host exclusive collections inspired by our ancient culture, crafted from native and biodegradable materials such as cotton, alpaca fiber, toquilla straw, shiringa, and paiche (fish) leather.

The Peruvian brands Sake, Fasce, Kero Design, Wisqa, Kuna from Arequipa, Tom Gutie, Kinua, Fringe, Amarena, and Pampa —all of which maintain direct collaborations with communities in Cusco, Arequipa, Puno, and Amazonas regions— will represent the potential and quality of sustainable fashion that Peru has to offer to the Scandinavian market, especially in the high-end sustainable fashion segment.

PromPeru stated that the main objective is to showcase the distinctive features of the offer to Scandinavian fashion professionals; international buyers specialized in clothing and fashion; international and national press; influencers; plus sustainable fashion influencers.

This fair —the oldest in Northern Europe since 1993— has gained a reputation for being one of the most dynamic and innovative sales platforms in Europe.

With almost 2,000 brands in an over 60,000 square-meter exhibition space, CIFF has become a must-visit destination for the international fashion industry.

Additionally, Peruvian participation in the Consumer Show runway on August 7 has been confirmed, where the creations by the 10 Peruvian brands will be showcased, marking the start of Copenhagen's Fashion Week activities.

Currently, Scandinavian countries lead the fashion industry in Europe, thanks to a strategy that unites forces, as well as brings together the talent and creativity from said region under a single platform: Copenhagen Fashion Week (CFW) and the CIFF fair.

PromPeru, through its trade office in Rotterdam, has been working hard to position Peru as a reference for sustainable fashion in Europe.

Through institutional support, international promotion, and technical guidance to Peruvian companies, they aim to promote the textile sector, responding to the growing consumer and corporate awareness of the industry's environmental impact.
