Peru PM monitors delivery of food kits to vulnerable families in Manchay

Peruvian Prime Minister supervised the delivery of 5,541 food kits to vulnerable households in Manchay area, located in Pachamac district (Lima), as established in Urgency Decree No. 068-2020.

The beneficiaries include families living in Parque Sol de Pachacamac, Parque Sol de Manchay, Retamal, and San Judas Tadeo.

The event was attended by National Civil Defense Institute (Indeci) Head Jorge Chavez, Deputy Territorial Governance Minister Raul Molina, Pachacamac Municipality Manager Romy Lavado, Caritas representative Omar Sanchez, Lima Municipality Prefect Veronica Caceres, and Pachacamac Municipality Deputy Prefect Angelica Quintanilla.

The delivery will continue today and reach Hueco de Manchay and Huatuco areas, thus benefiting a total of 5,541 families.

"We are bringing these food kits to the 24 districts with the highest poverty rates in Lima Metropolitan Area and Callao. This humanitarian aid, aimed at the most vulnerable families in said districts, will be carried out until December," the President of the Council of Ministers stated.
