So far, 30,191,159 doses of the vaccine against COVID-19 have been administered in Peru, the
Ministry of Health (Minsa) has reported.
Out of that total, 17,042,305 have been administered as first doses, according to the National Single Health Data Repository (Reunis) of Minsa.
Meanwhile, 13,148,854 have been given as second doses, reaching 47% of the target population (people aged over 12).
The target population in Peru consists of men and women over 12 years of age, that is 28,024,250 people.
The information above is applicable as of October 12 at 6:04 p.m. (local time) and was published on the COVID-19 Vaccination Situation Room.
It should be pointed out that the COVID-19 vaccination of people aged 18, 19, and 20 began on Monday, October 11, in Metropolitan Lima, Callao, Lima region, and Ica.
Individuals in this new age group shall attend the vaccination centers during opening hours at each site and at the time of their appointment, wearing two facemasks and a face shield, as well as bringing their ID card.
