Peru: Nearly 200 SMEs joined Industria Perú business roundtable

Nearly 180 small and medium-sized enterprise representatives from Arequipa, Junin, Loreto, Madre de Dios, Ucayali and Lima regions participated in 'Industria Perú 2015' (Peru Industry 2015) business roundtable held in the nation's capital on Friday, Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister Magali Silva said.

SMEs attendance increased by 73% compared to the similar period last year. Likewise, an extra 44% of buyers were invited to attend the gathering in comparison with the previous edition.

During the inauguration, the Minister indicated 130 buyers from US, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Czech Republic, Germany, Spain, Bolivia, Colombia and Panama had arrived for the event.

Following products were negotiated: Spare parts, cosmetics, electrical, materials, construction finishing materials, food industry equipment, wood products, mining supplies, medical equipment and material.

The event is the outcome of joint work undertaken by the Mincetur-run Trade Offices abroad (OCEXs) and the Peru’s Export and Tourism Promotion Board (PromPeru).
