U.S. singer Katy Perry finally visited the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu on Thursday morning.

The artist went through the checkpoint along with a delegation composed more than 15 people, including her private security staff.

Despite her famous-artist status, her visit remained unnoticed by tourists due to its discretion.

It was reported that she wore warm clothes due to the low temperatures registered during the morning.

Perry left the Inca citadel around 11:00 A.M. According to sources, the popular singer did not sign the celebrity book suggesting that she would return at 3:00 P.M.

The star arrived in Cusco on Wednesday and traveled to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo) during the afternoon.

After returning to Lima the artist would depart for Brazil to continue performing.
