A group of 120 Peruvian export-oriented companies are set to hold business meetings Thursday with 92 buyers from 13 countries of the region at the mega business roundtable Industria Peru 2014, organized by the National Society of Industries (SNI).
According to the event organizers, the international leading buyers come from Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, United States, Guatemala, Haiti, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Dominican Republic and El Salvador.
Exporters from the Andean nation who will take part in this year's event are engaged in businesses ranging from power line distribution to supply construction material and mining.
Sponsored by the Andean nation's export and tourism promotion board (PromPeru), Industria Peru 2014, is expected to generate US$47 million in sales and will be carried out as part of the "Industry Week".
According to this government agency, the one-day trade fair will be a unique opportunity for Peruvian exporters to establish contacts with key markets in the region.
Likewise, the trade event will serve as platform for attendants to seek specialized information to increase their business opportunities.
The state-run entity went on to note that during the meeting a personalized business agenda will be carried out. It comprises importers, distributors and wholesalers of the Latin American and Caribbean market.
