Peru: Government appoints new Deputy Vulnerable Populations Minister

The Executive Branch has designated Elba Espinoza Rios as the new Deputy Vulnerable Populations Minister at the Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations.

The appointment was made official via Supreme Resolution No. 003-2023-MIMP, which was published on Tuesday in the Official Gazette El Peruano.

Thus, Elba Espinoza Rios will replace Mario Rios Espinoza in the post. 

It should be noted that the Government has accepted the resignation of Rios Espinoza through the same resolution.

Elba Espinoza is a lawyer from the National University of San Marcos (UNMSM).

In the public sector, she has served as Director of the Charitable Societies Department at the Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations, and at the Protective Services for the Elderly Unit of the National Family Welfare Program (INABIF).
