Peru FA Min meets with U.S. White House officials

Peru's Foreign Affairs Minister Gustavo Meza-Cuadra on Thursday received in Lima representatives from the White House of the United States to discuss issues of common interest.

The meeting was attended by Special Assistant to the U.S. President and Senior Director for Western Hemisphere Affairs at the National Security Council, Mauricio Claver-Carone, and Central American and Caribbean Affairs Director at the NSC Jessica Bedoya Hermann.

During the meeting held at Torre Tagle Palace, issues of the bilateral agenda such as the promotion of democracy in the region were discussed.

In addition, cooperation in the fight against drug trafficking and transnational organized crime, as well as the promotion of investment and trade were addressed.
