The racers —that still remain in the Dakar Rally 2018— have already left Peru and entered Bolivia, following six tough stages across dunes and threatening deserts.

This proves Dakar Rally's essence has come back on the 40th edition, and participants are convinced about it.
The pictures above show the moments riders —onboard their vehicles— made their way into Bolivian territory, where they take a rest day on Friday before resuming their participation in the event.

As is known, Dakar 2018 kicked off last Saturday in Lima at Peruvian Army Headquarters, also known as Pentagonito.

This year's route included cities: Lima, Pisco, San Juan de Marcona, Arequipa, and Puno.

The competition will continue its journey through Bolivia and Argentina.
