Peru appoints new ambassador to Haiti

The Peruvian government has appointed Enrique Palacios Reyes as the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Haiti.

Palacios is the current Peruvian Ambassador to Dominican Republic and will handle both positions concurrently.

The diplomat will continue to reside in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

The appointment was made official through a supreme resolution signed by Peruvian President Ollanta Humala and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rafael Roncagliolo.
