A total of 353,261 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were applied during the third uninterrupted 36-hour Vaccinathon held on July 24-25 at 22 vaccination centers in Lima and Callao.
The vaccination campaign was open to all people aged 40 and above, teenagers aged 12-17 with Down syndrome, as well as those who had not received the second dose, so as to complete the vaccination scheme.
On the other hand, Minsa reported that the vaccination centers set up in Metropolitan Lima Area and Callao region will not be open on Monday, July 26.
This measure is intended to give a break to vaccinators —who have worked long shifts— and comes in response to the need to assess the process.
As for the vaccination process nationwide, the government's official "Pongo el Hombro" (I Lend a Shoulder) platform indicated that 12,105,173 doses have been administered in Peru as of July 25 at 9:12 p.m. (local time), including 7,616,187 people with their first dose and 4,488,986 with both doses.
Additionally, on July 24, a total of 198,869 people received the first dose, while 87,490 got the second dose.
