Food lovers don’t have to wait much longer for Peru's annual food festival, Mistura, as pre-sale tickets for its 2014 edition will be available starting today, June 25.
As of tomorrow, tickets will be available for pre-sale with a discount of up to 40% and 20% for adults and children, that is, 15 and 8 soles, respectively, the Peruvian Gastronomy Association (Apega) reported.
For those wishing to purchase the tickets during the event, the regular ticket price will be 25 soles for adults, and 10 soles for children.
Tickets will go on sale through Teleticket counters at Wong and Metro supermarkets or via Internet.
This year edition will take place from September 5 to 14 at Costa Verde beach front in Lima's Magdalena district.
Mistura is a cultural party, where the best comes together from Peruvian gastronomy, haute cuisine, cooks, pastry makers, neighborhood bakers, regional cooking.
Peasant farmers, fishermen and cattle breeders take part in this festival in their traditional costumes and with the most typical products from Peru's Amazon, Andes and Coast.
Likewise, world renowned chefs have become regular visitors to this food fiesta, which has become one of the most important in the world.
Established in 2007, Apega aims to promote Peruvian cuisine as a basis for cultural identity and as a factor in the economic development, progress and wellbeing of all Peruvians.
