BCR: Announced private investment to reach US$18.5 billion in 2018-2019

Peru's Central Reserve Bank (BCR) Governor Julio Velarde on Friday affirmed private investment announcements in the Inca country will total US$18.5 billion between 2018 and 2019.
"The
investment project
announcements for the years 2018 and 2019 will reach US$18.5 billion, most of them will be linked to
mining (activities)
," Velarde expressed.
Thus, the issuing entity official stressed
private investment
may expand 5.5% this year and 6.5% the next one, taking into account projects —to be awarded in the 24-month period— will reach some US$3.4 billion.
