France President arrives in Peru

French President François Hollande arrived in Lima for a State visit on Tuesday morning.

While in Peru, both nations will ink agreements and a joint declaration.

Upon arrival at Grupo Aero Nro. 8 (Air Force Base), Mr. Hollande was welcomed by the country's Foreign Affairs Minister Ana Maria Sanchez and French Ambassador to Lima Fabrice Mauriès.

During this official visit, the foreign leader will hold an audience with hosting nation’s President Ollanta Humala at 1:00 PM (local time) at the Government Palace.

Subsequently, dignitaries will participate in the signing ceremony of over 20 agreements on scientific and construction-related matters. 

Likewise, both authorities are expected to sign a joint declaration and initiate the process towards establishing a Peru-France privileged partnership aimed at boosting political dialogue, technical and scientific cooperation-related spheres.
