During the ceremony, our compatriot received an award for his outstanding career.

On this occasion, Peru's General Consul based in Los Angeles, Jose Chavez, was invited to deliver remarks in honor of Dr. Alva.

During his speech, he highlighted the constant work and dedication of the renowned Peruvian archaeologist to the research on Moche Culture, as well as his long career of service to the Peruvian State.

As is widely known, Dr. Walter Alva led the research on the Royal Tombs of Sipan for more than 30 years, since its discovery in 1987.
