The President of the Republic of Peru, Dina Boluarte, held a bilateral meeting with United States counterpart, President Joe Biden, in Lima on Friday afternoon.

During their meeting, both leaders emphasized the strategic relationship between their nations, particularly in the areas of investments and technology.

They also highlighted the recent expansion of space cooperation marked by the signing of a memorandum of understanding between CONIDA and NASA.

This document sets in motion the process to establish a scientific sounding rocket launch program from Peruvian Punta Lobos base and solidifies Peru's accession to the Artemis Accords.

As is known, the U.S. leader arrived in Peru on Thursday to attend the APEC Leaders' Summit currently underway in Peru.

Upon his arrival at Air Group N° 8, the U.S. top official was welcomed by Prime Minister Gustavo Adrianzen.

Peru is hosting APEC for the third time after the 2008 and 2016 editions.
