Presidency of the Republic congratulated Kimberly Garcia for winning the 20km individual title at the World Athletics Race Walking Team Championships, held in Antalya, Turkey.
"A Peruvian who inspires us and fills us with pride!" the Presidency of the Republic said on X, referring to the national athlete.
Garcia won led the women's 20km race of the 2024 World Athletics Race Walking Team Championships from beginning to end.
At the athletics event, she notched a time of 1:27:12.
