The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte on Monday stressed her Government's support for the work of the Armed Forces as the anniversary of these institutions is celebrated today.

Mrs. Boluarte participated in a ceremony held at the Plaza de la Bandera (Flag Roundabout) in Lima.

Within this framework, the Head of State paid tribute to each member of military institutions for the efforts undertaken in the national territory and in safeguarding Peruvian borders.

"You have my full support, as well as the country’s trust, to continue this fight and finally declare victory," Mrs. Boluarte stated during her speech.

The top official indicated that the actions of military institutions ensure "stability, security, the exercise of sovereignty, independence, and autonomy of the (Peruvian) State and the Government."

"On this ship called Peru, no one gives up. We remain united, firm, and dignified," said Mrs. Boluarte, who also affirmed that the Armed Forces "have always been close to the population, extending a helping hand whenever problems arise."

Economy and infrastructure

At a different moment in her address, the president underscored that an international consulting firm like Moody's had raised its positive expectations regarding Peru and its economy.

The top official considered that this is due to the fact that economic, social, and political conditions "are more solid." That is why the agency deems Peru’s situation as "stable."

In this regard, the Head of State gave an account of the benefits that will be brought about by the implementation and start-up of large infrastructure projects, which will begin operating this year.

Within this framework, Mrs. Boluarte mentioned the launch of the 'Airport City' into which the Jorge Chavez International Airport will be transformed, in addition to the modernization of the Callao Port and the inauguration of the Chancay Megaport.

"We speak with facts, actions, and not with false hopes; without lies," she said.
