The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte on Tuesday stated that her government is waging a frontal fight against crime, adding that it will not diminish its capacity to confront this scourge.

In her speech, Mrs. Boluarte highlighted the participation of the Armed Forces at different moments in history.

Similarly, she stated that the government recognizes the support these forces provide in managing disaster risks and responding to emergencies.

The president added that, in these times when it is necessary to strengthen the fight against crime, the Armed Forces have also been present supporting the Peruvian National Police in the districts declared in state of emergency.

"The FAP, the Navy, and the Army have the full support of my government to continue this fight until we declare victory. You personify sacrifice, dedication, and passion for Peru. You are a source of inspiration to continue forward in the task of building a Peru with a better future," she expressed.

The Head of State indicated that citizen security is also a guarantee for the arrival of investments that enable greater development of the nation, alongside calm and social policy.

"And to our sisters and brothers in Peru, we say: we are fighting crime head-on, we will not diminish our capacity to confront them (criminals). Rest assured that we will be at the forefront, tracking those extortionist criminals, and we will catch them in their lairs," she added.

Modern aircraft

Moreover, the president highlighted the acquisition of the modern Beechcraft King Air 360C ambulance aircraft, acquired to strengthen the Air Force's operational capacity, as well as to support rescue missions and aeromedical evacuations for the population's benefit.

Similarly, the top official emphasized that the acquisition was made directly from the U.S. company Textron Aviation, "without a single dollar of bribe involved."

"The aircraft will operate from Callao Air Base and will be assigned to Air Group No. 8 in order to serve whenever required, as our Air Force and our Armed Forces, in general, are always ready to respond to the call of the homeland and our compatriots," she concluded.
