APEC Peru 2024: Economic leaders of Peru and Chile hold meeting in Lima

Peru's economic leader, Dina Boluarte, on Friday morning held a meeting with her Chilean counterpart, Gabriel Boric, to address key topics of cooperation between the two nations.

This meeting took place within the framework of the 202 years of bilateral relations between Peru and Chile.

During the gathering, both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to working together on priority areas such as fostering economic growth, improving educational systems, supporting the most vulnerable populations, and promoting the formalization of micro and small enterprises (MSEs).

They also highlighted the importance of bilateral trade as a driver of mutual development, emphasizing the need to continue strengthening the ties that unite both nations.

This meeting reaffirms the willingness of Peru and Chile to maintain a constant and fruitful dialogue, benefiting their citizens and shared progress in the region.

It was held at Lima Convention Center, where the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum is currently underway.

Peru is hosting APEC for the third time after the 2008 and 2016 editions.
