The President of the Republic, Dina Boluarte Zegarra, inspected the construction of the modern Police Officers' School of the Peruvian National Police, in the district of Chorrillos, and expressed her commitment to completing this important project.

The president was accompanied by the Minister of the Interior, Julio Díaz Zulueta, and the Commander-in-Chief of the PNP, Víctor José Zanabria.

“During our administration, each project is a commitment to the people. We do not tolerate stalled projects or empty promises. We are unblocking abandoned projects, concerned about a better future for all Peruvians,” said the head of state.

For his part, the Commander-in-Chief of the PNP emphasized the political effort to rescue this project.

“The project was abandoned for years, mired in controversies and technical errors from previous administrations. Today, thanks to the political leadership of this government, we have broken through the barriers of the past and are moving forward strongly, transforming an empty lot into the future cradle of national security,” he stated.

The investment for the new Peruvian National Police Officers' School amounts to more than 273 million soles and is being built on a 258,000 square meter site.

The project includes 29 blocks for modern classrooms, specialized laboratories, simulators, a heliport, training fields, and firing ranges, all with state-of-the-art technology.

These facilities will train approximately 2,000 cadets starting in 2026, graduating as second lieutenants with a bachelor's degree, highly qualified to lead the fight against crime with professionalism and effectiveness.

The modern school will have experienced national and international police officers in its classrooms, who will teach crime-fighting techniques in facilities equipped with state-of-the-art technology.
