Congress approved the draft legislative resolution authorizing the President of the Republic, Dina Boluarte, to leave the country from September 21 to 25, 2025.

The proposal submitted by the Executive Branch was approved with 62 votes in favor during a plenary session on Wednesday evening.

Following the vote, Congress Chairman Jose Jeri stated that the draft legislative resolution did not require a second vote.

During the High-Level Week of the session period, the Head of State will hold bilateral meetings with her counterparts and with senior officials of the United Nations System.

It is noted that, given the importance of this event, Peru must be represented at the highest level during the scheduled activities.

Additionally, the top official will remain in charge of the Presidential Office remotely using digital technologies.
