President Dina Boluarte announced on Thursday that 80 new projects worth more than US$17 billion will be awarded through the Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) mechanism in the 2025-2026 period, which will allow for the continued construction of a modern and competitive Peru.

Among these projects are the Longitudinal Highway of the Sierra, section 4; the Chimbote Port Terminal, the Ancon Industrial Park, and the Choquequirao Cable Car System.
"The project will connect mountains, cultures, opportunities, and hopes. It will be a new engine for the development of Cusco and Apurímac, offering employment opportunities, economic stimulation, and access to new routes and horizons," she stated.
Mrs. Boluarte participated in the presentation of the Public-Private Partnership Project titled "Improvement of Public Tourist Services at the Choquequirao Archaeological Park" – Choquequirao Cable Car System.
Within this framework, the Head of State said this project will be a symbol of what can be achieved when looking forward with vision, unity, and clean hands.
"Thanks to the cable car (system), travel time will be significantly reduced, allowing more people to visit a sacred place. This initiative does not come alone; it is part of a determined government policy to drive the country's development through the unstoppable engine that is PPPs," she expressed.
The top official specified that 30 projects, worth over US$11.5 billion were awarded via PPPs, in the 2023–2024 period, among which are the Peripheral Ring Road, the Huancayo-Huancavelica Railway, the Marcona Port Terminal, as well as the hospitals of Piura and Chimbote.
All of this investment is possible, she said, due to the confidence the country regained in 2023, when Peruvians understood that only in peace can the country develop.
According to her, this has allowed for solid growth and the arrival of new investors who believe in the country and see it as viable.
"The works confirm that Peru is on the world's radar as a safe destination for capital and development. This is just the beginning," she stated.
